The Role

YayPay is looking for a passionate, motivated, and energetic individual to join our inside sales team in New York City. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating extreme interest in YayPay by curating, contacting, and qualifying sales-generated leads. You will support YayPay Account Executives by delivering high-quality leads that will convert into successful YayPay customers.

You will be speaking to CFO’s, VP's of Finance, Controllers, and other senior-level finance influencers. You must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment, explaining value proposition over the phone, setting up sales appointments, and interacting with prospects at all levels within an organization.

What You'll Do / Learn

Set and qualify new meetings for Account Executives via outbound emails, phone calls, LinkedIn, etc.

Collaborate with Account Executives & Channel Sales to build your process and pipeline

Make at least 50 calls a day, in addition to robust email campaigns and social
outreach resulting in at least 15 or more qualified meetings per month

Rapidly test messaging to refine communication with prospects

Maintain meticulous notes, tracking of accounts and engagement, leveraging tools such as Salesforce and Outreach

Learn from weekly training sessions and bring your own creative ideas to evolve the role of Sales Development at YayPay

Seamlessly handle prospect’s objections and educate them on YayPay and Accounts Receivable automation

Hit your personal target of Sales Qualified Leads (quota)

Requirements

What You Bring To The Table

BA/BS degree

Strong desire to build a career in Sales

1+ years in a BDR/SDR function or relevant work experience

Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level interactions with internal and external contacts

Top 1% work ethic and persistence

Demonstrate a passion for learning new things and continuous improvement

Bonus Points For

Prior success in a sales / business development or inside sales role

Experience with SalesForce, Outreach or other sales enablement tools

Familiarity with B2B account receivables collections processes

Previous experience working at a SaaS, tech startup, or similar type company
